Summer 2019 Update Breaks Keyboard Play/Pause/Skip

I have a Microsoft 3050 Wireless Keyboard which has media hotkeys at the top. Without any configuration, the Skip Fwd, Skip Back, and Play/Pause keys always controlled whatever player was currently playing on my system. However, I noticed after this latest Spotify update, Spotify no longer responds when I use those keys.
