The album cover arts, friend profile pictures, podcast cover arts do not show up. Ever

My Question or Issue

All of the album covers, podcast covers, artist profile pictures do not show up. I've tried turning hardware acceleration on and off, restarting the device, doing a clean reinstall, doing a quick reinstall, switching devices (works only on mobile for me). It has never worked for me on desktop or the web player.

Sorry to see this has been happening to you.
Have you tried logging yourself in from another desktop machine?
This would help us determine if the issue is account or device related.

I have indeed, most devices that i run it on don't show the art. Only Android phones.

Just to confirm, to reinstall the app, have you followed these specific steps? 

 

On another note, we suggest that you disable any antivirus or ad-blocking software, and turn off any VPNs if in use.

 

Also, could you check if the same happens using a different internet connection?

I have indeed followed these steps. Even made sure to delete all the residual files and cache. Disabling antivirus doesn't change anything, and i don't have any VPNs. I cannot check if the same happens with different internet connections unfortunately, but it seems to be working on my phone with both my wifi and mobile data. On my computer with the same wifi it does not work

The next step we can suggest is to use Safe Mode on your computer. Safe Mode is a way to start up your Mac, so it performs certain checks, repairs, emptying of system cache, and prevents some software from automatically loading. 

 

Also, can you let us know if have downloaded Spotify from our official website or Microsoft store?
