Trying to Play Music getting message saying "The Song is not available"

Trying to Play Music getting message saying "The Song is not available"

When I try to play any song on my Windows Desktop a message comes up saying "This song is not available. If you have the file on your computer you can import it."

WHAT is this? & what should I do?

I have this issue on my Windows 10 device.

I have uninstalled, installed, uninstalled, installed.... nothing!

Spotify works fine on my phone though?

I'ma premium member so there is no reason why it should't play.

Several artists didn't play for me, including Fairport Convention, Neil Young and Parquet Courts. It may possibly have been artists I've had as local files at some point in the past.

I tried uninstalling and then re-installing.... didn't work.

Then I tried uninstalling again, and then (as somebody suggested somewhere, maybe in a nother thread) installing the version of Spotify that can be found in the Windows App Store. THIS worked for me.
