Updated Windows version client 1.1.12.451.gdb77255f. Can't play anything

Updated Windows version client 1.1.12.451.gdb77255f. Can't play anything

Plan: Family Premium

Country: USA

Device: Win10 Desktop with all updates installed

Operating System: Win10

 

Problem

I just upgraded the Windows version client to 1.1.12.451.gdb77255f. Now I can't play anything and I don't see any of my saved albums. Playlists names are there but are empty.  I looked in the hosts file and no spotify references are there.  Album art also doesn't show up.

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

Problem fixed. Not exactly what solved the issue but I did two things:

1. After uninstall, did a reboot
2. Instead of downloading from the web, went to the Microsoft Store and installed from there.

NOTE: This is all on a Win10 desktop machine.
