My Question or Issue

Whenever I press fn+f12 to skip a song, windows media overlay breaks.

spotify cycles through every single song in the playlist rapidly before stopping on a song. After it stops on a song, it will only play that song and when it ends it plays again. also, when the app is in the background after this happens, the windows media overlay showing what is playing along with the play/pause and skip buttons remains on all the time, and the media overlay stays on for youtube as well. Any fixes?
