Windows 10 - Desktop overlay setting not followed after every update

The left corner song banner setting was introduced and fixed with the issue below:

However, this setting is not respected after every Spotify upgrade. I always have to toggle this setting again after every update. I work in a place that restarts our computers frequently for security purposes. It is really annoying to have to go enable and disable this setting just so that it is disabled again. The update always shows that this feature is disabled, but it is not disabled until I enable and disable again. It is really annoying.

Furthermore, this might be just a personal problem, but I can never remember what this feature is called. I always have to either look up online what the name is called or I will toggle all the settings. Both solutions are annoying.
