Windows PC - Public Wifi network access

I downloaded spotify onto my windows PC yesterday and when asked to choose my wifi preferences, i hastily selected the recommended option (private wifi access only) and now I can't connect spotify to my work wifi network (or probably any other public network). Is there a way to change my preferences so that i can connect to any wifi network?

That happens sometimes, don't be too hard on yourself. 🙂 You may try the following:

See this link on how to change the network (whether it's home, public or work)

or:

Click Start and, in the search field, type View network connections.
Press the ALT key, click Advanced Options and then click Advanced Settings...
Select Local Area Connection and click the green arrows to give priority to the desired connection.

Alternatively, Spotify has some connection-related settings in its Settings. Try toggling those...
Another resort is going to Firewall and allowing Spotify connections.
