Your Library size not remembered after window resize

Your Library size not remembered after window resize

When I have Spotify Desktop in vertical and expand the window to the right, the Now Playing view automatically appears. When I make the window smaller again, Your Library gets reduced and the Now Playing view stays visible – even if I had set Your Library to be large before.

This means my setting isn’t saved. It would be better if Spotify remembered whether I want Your Library large or small, instead of changing it automatically when resizing the window.

And I cannot add anything to the attachments.

Hey there, thanks for asking in the Community! 🎵

Could you please add a screen recording demonstrating the same? That would help me take a closer look at the issue. 🙂

Hey Amay,
sorry for the late reply — I totally forgot about this 😅
Here’s the link to the screen recording showing the issue : www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlDjnc7sIgU

Thanks a lot for taking a look!

Thanks for the video @31hrcpwu4wtt57ny7nxf.

Having previously toggled on the Now Playing View panel could impact how the app's sections look/behave when resizing the window. Making sure that the Now Playing View is toggled off upon starting Spotify and before expanding the app window, should help you save the Your Library panel size to your liking, as well as not letting the Now Playing View open upon expanding.

However, if this is still happening even after you've toggled off the Now Playing View panel upon opening the app, consider clearing the cache with the steps here - it helps resolve different performance issues.

We're always looking for ways to improve the app behavior and user experience, and really appreciate you sharing this with us. We'll keep it in mind.

Should you need assistance with anything else, the Community's here 🙂
