cant see following activity but instead ''connect to facebook''

My Question or Issue

I can't see my friend activity tab on spotify!

now before you say to just go to my settings and click ''see what your friends are playing'' it doesn't work. It keeps saying ''connect with facebook'' and I can't get rid off that message! I tried restarting, re-installing and logging out and in and none of those work either. Youtube doesn't help either. I'm just looking for a way to see my friends activity on desktop and to get rid off that ''connect with facebook'' tab on the right side of the screen thanks!
