new version of Spotify blue banner

why?
does Spotify  'app
force a "New Version" reinstall ??

why would i purchase premium
or invest any money at all
if the Spotify 'app
doesnt work properly ??

Been Dealing with the same issue for 6 months since June 2016
-blue banner shows up-to download a new version-
this kills the app , causes a black screen
after accepting 'clicking'
on the banner , or closing/shutting off the 'app/or powering off the device
  then user is forced to -uninstall-
then re-install & download
only to then wait for the blue banner to re- appear
when the app' is running
just to start the process all over again.
for a while (a few weeks anyway)
changing the proxy before login on the desktop
was working-
except browsing or navigating on Spotify
using this 'fix'
really totally fkng sucks **bleep**-
since there are no images loading to the app.

NOW after One track has played
New Version Banner
if i close the app or poweroff device-
will return to black screen to begin the whole installation process over again.
