unable to Control the Volume of Ads

My Question or Issue

I am no longer able to change the audio levels for ads in spotify . where a lot of ads are fine . some times they come in WAY to loud . I used to be able to just adjust the Volume but I can no longer do that . Now if an ad is too loud I have 3 choices . 1 Hard close spotify. 2 Drop my head set .3 try and fumble with the computers sounds. Now i if am doing something on the PC, Be it gaming or work. Non of the 3 choices really work great. Can we please have the ability to change the volume of ads or I am having to go look for a different service ?
