won't open when inkscape is running

I have Inkscape 1.0 installed. If Inkscape is open, Spotify will not start up properly-- it appears as a background process in Task Manager for a second or two, then disappears without opening a window. As soon as I close Inkscape, Spotify starts normally. If I open Spotify first, opening Inkscape does not seem to affect anything. Other programs I have installed do not seem to impact Spotify at all.

I am using Spotify version 1.1.37.690.g8f3b16fc (Microsoft Store version)
