Hello again everyone!
Did you miss us? The Community Music Chat Team is back, and once again is looking for up and coming artists, to bring their summer creations for the whole Spotify Community to listen in our Seventeenth Edition of Artists Wanted: Share Your Talent With The Community.
It's that time of the year, so we're eager for a Volume 3 of one of our popular themes... The heat is on for...
🌊Summer songs ☀️
How does "Artists Wanted Edition No 17" work?
Questions artists should answer to participate
The Community Music Chat Team will go through all submissions, and propose a few for the entire Community to vote on. Once the results are in, we'll contact the winner, and they will be featured in our Community blog!
When will submissions and voting occur?
Artists submissions: from June 9 to July 6 (Midnight Pacific Time)
Community vote: from July 14 to July 20 (Midnight Pacific Time)
Where to participate?
We'll hand it over to you, artists on the Spotify Community - post your answers to our questions in a comment below. Don't be shy, we'll be very glad to hear your tracks and read your replies!
Note - We ask artists to submit only original songs and not covers. Also, artists should not post/embed videos, as we'd like to keep the ground fair for smaller artists with lesser budgets.
P.S. When it comes to choosing the winning artist, we'll give equal chance to the finalists to gather votes from the forum's users; so don't get discouraged if you enter your submission at a later point and don't gather too many likes in this thread.
If a song is selected for being submitted to the Community vote, artists are allowed to mention it to their followers, in Spotify, as in Social Medias. Please be fair with all contestants and support participation with our Community by asking them to listen to all submissions.
We also reserve the right to refuse songs if the song content is in breech of Community guidelines. Should this happen we'll aim to reach out to you and discuss the decision.
WARNING : Submissions posted after the limit date or songs too old, won't be taken in count.
🎶‼️HEADS UP: WE'RE EXTENDING THE SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE TO THE 6TH OF JULY 🎶‼️
Artist/Band name: Kävla

Main genre of music: Post-punk / Alternative / Rock
Describe your sound/music in a few words:
Raw, intense, and atmospheric—Kävla blends abrasive guitars, urgent vocals, and dark textures with a sense of controlled chaos. Their sound evokes a dystopian, emotionally charged landscape that’s both cathartic and thought-provoking.
Spotify link to one of your most recent original song (from this year or the last 3 months of the previous year) which you'd submit in priority to the Community's users: https://open.spotify.com/intl-de/track/5NjKkmqYOQP1uffEfSpNFH

Who are your musical inspirations: Royal Blood, Rise Against, Gyllene Tider, Roxette, 30 seconds, 8kids and many more
Is there anything else you'd want to add to help users to get to know you better:
Kävla’s music is an emotional and sonic outcry against complacency, echoing themes of societal pressure, existential dread, and inner rebellion. Their performances and recordings aim to provoke, unsettle, and connect on a visceral level. Ideal for listeners who crave authenticity and intensity in music.
Formed in Cambridge, England, the band features Liam Palmer (vocals/rhythm guitar) – once of The Royals U.K. – and former members of The Abstracts including Ben Taylor (lead guitar), Ben Nunn (bass) and Mark Thomson (drums).
In 2024, The Routine released their debut album ‘Casualty’ which received critical acclaim and solidified a place in the Cambridgeshire music scene. The band also embarked on a UK tour, playing sold-out shows in Manchester, Newcastle, and London, as well as a slot at Strawberry Fair on the Portland Stage. The band was also nominated in the NMG Awards’ Best Indie category for the fifth year in a row.
Hey folks, we're extending the submissions deadline to the 6th of July. So you have 1 more week to share your songs 🙂
When I was a child my mother worked in a big house that had a beautiful piano and since then it was a dream of mine to play it but in those days my family could not afford a piano. When I was young I studied computer science and my life took another turn. Years ago I had the opportunity to return to my old dream and start studying piano and I discovered that in addition to my dream it was my great passion. I have not stopped until today, the more I learn the more I want to know.

I blend lo-fi hip hop with raw, honest storytelling. My sound is mellow, dusty, and personal—focusing on everyday life, quiet emotions, and poetic realism. It’s hip hop for late nights, deep thoughts, and city walks.
For several years, I wasn’t inspired. I felt**bleep**. Nobody was listening to my music, and I felt like I was competing with the whole world. I saw everybody as competitors and forgot to enjoy the music. I forgot what I truly enjoyed and got caught up in the numbers and attention seeking. I went 3-4 years without making new music and it haunted me. I kinda just gave up on it. Thinking oh well, guess that’s it. I even wrote my retirement post and was ready to post it. But then, one day, something happened. I made a new beat, a melody popped up in my head, started to hum it and that was the beginning to my new song, “It’s never too late to chase what you chose to forget” in more than one sense. I think that I wrote, recorded, mixed, mastered, made the cover-art over one week and submitted it to my distribution. So hi world, here’s is a shot at redemption. I hope you’ll greet it with open arms, since it’s very nerve-racking to release new FredNukes music, lol. Also, one of my success criteria would definitely be for people to add it to their playlists, since that means that they’l probably listen again. So be a good sport and help me out, please? Thanks for reading all of this, have a great day. Much love, Fred.
