My name is David (Mister Diamond 💎️) and I am a musician since 1992, when I was 8 years old.
I started by playing a Casio keyboard, that was gifted by an uncle of mine: such keyboard has been the best gift of my life!
So I started to play over various musics that I listened: on the radio, on the turntable of my father (Lucio Battisti, Fabrizio De Andrè, but also Brian Auger and Arthur Brown!), on the stereo system of my sister: Umberto Tozzi and Eros Ramazzotti.
Then, soon, I started to listen rap music, of Italian artists: Assalti Frontali, Neffa, Space One, Dj gruff, Articolo 31, Otierre. But also American Artists:
Ice Cube, The notorius B.I.G, Snoop Dogg, Run DMC, Public Enemy, Busta Rhymes and so much more.
Then, around the age of 15, a Friend of mine, older than me and musicophile, has introduced me and my soul to a lot of different music: from Black Sabbath through Bad Company, Pink Floyd, The Gathering and so many more musicians and genres.
Then around 2004 (I use computers since 1997) in me is matured the interest of the technical aspect of the music, so I started to record my own music on computer, on the hard disk (this is technically called "Hard Disk Recording", and the computer act as a "DAW" - Digital Audio Workstation), by using specific multitrack software with effects and dedicated hardware.
So I have a lot of recordings of mine, also, so, from 21 years ago!
I do everything: i wrote lyrics, I play all instruments, I compose the music, I record and do the mastering on the tracks; so I am the producer of myself 🙂️
I like and play muti musical genres, from hard rock/through jazz, folk, electronic music, EDM music and I do fusion between all the genres.
Some days ago, CD Baby, has published my album (is a compilation of my music recorded and produced through the years, so I simply called it "The best of Mister Diamond").
I provide here a particular track, singed in Italian; is named "Il Viandante" (The Wayfarer), which talks about the mystical journey of an errant man in the woods.
The genre, I would say, is Dark-Folk, with a pad of synthesizers, and a long solo of piano:
