Is it safe for music to appear on repostng playlists

See this playlist as an example:

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5nORkyNPQ1YPisugf6kCcP

My music is getting lots of streams from it. Is this problematic?

Is it a legit playlist with real followers?

I would imagine if it wasn't, that Spotify would have removed it long ago?

Thanks

I'm curious where this thread goes as my music also just showed up on this playlist.

Yeah, really curious about this; no mails, no ”pay us monthly” and not a word about the profile; we just get a couple of thousands streams, and then it’s over ..! Who gains from this? We ..? Spotify ..?

Same here. No idea who these clowns are and I have no relationship with them; I'm just sitting here now glumly waiting for their unwanted, unasked for bogus streams to screw up my algorithms for all time. Unfathomable that this is tolerated.

strange.

saw this today also with an old song from us. around 1500 plays from an repostng playlist. but the song is now already removed from the list... maybe a bug or someone took a wrong link?

Yeah my ‘the reality tv’ project which is currently in hiatus - a track from there has been added and over night I got over 500 streams and close to 50 new followers?! Really hope Spotify don’t think this is something I have intentionally pushed, cause I haven’t 😑 do we report?!

Hey there. Same happened to one of my songs as well. Got added. 80 new streams, 40 new followers and then it was removed again.

I recently had a similar phenomenon with a "WAVR.AI" Playlist. One of my tracks was randomly added to that playlist and got a couple of streams from it (enough, that the playlist was featured on my artists profile under the "Discovered at"-section). After a week or so, my track was removed from that playlist. I didn't ask to be on there in the first place, but also didn't ask to be removed again... so I wonder whats up with that?

Be careful, Wave.AI and repost.ng added my track for a day. I reported both to Spotify. Yesterday, I received an email from Distrokid informing me that they are removing my track. They won't even discuss it.
