Change user account name

Hey Folks, 

I tried to find answer to this question before posting new one. Sadly didn't  found any topic in here or in Spotify Q & A or on Help and had to make new post.

I'm afraid to know the answer on this one. But still decided to ask anyway. 

Question: Is it possible to some how change your user name / account name?  

I have made my account before facebook time and now want to change it user / account name to something else. 

If changeing user / acount name is not possible does it change if I login with my FaceBook account? Or is it shown as my user / account name in facebook? (trying to avoid this). 

Or clearly is  only way to change your Spotify user / account name to delete old account and create new one? 

I do understand that this is rare request but really would like to change my user / account name.

Hi there and welcome to the community,

The easiest way is to link your account to Facebook. Then, your name will be changed to your Facebook name. You can still login with your old username, but you can also login with Facebook. 

Others can find you using your old login, and your Facebook nickname.

I am so bummed out. Need to change user name and can't figure out how to do so. I'm 71 yrs. Old and pretty much computer illiterate. Please help.

Do you have a Facebook account? If yes, then connect it with Facebook.
Just open Spotify > Preferences and scroll down to the Social Network section.
