Combining Premium Accounts under one Family Account

Combining Premium Accounts under one Family Account

My fiance and I both have premium accounts and want to combine under one Family account without either of us cancelling and losing our playlists and saved music. Is this possible?

Yes this is possible.

You use one of your accounts to sign up for the family plan, and then invite the other account to join the family plan.

You both keep the same Spotify accounts that you have now and all the playlists.

The only thing that changes, is that you are both on the family plan under one payment.

Go to https://www.spotify.com/family to sign up

First, your fiance will have to cancel their premium account before they join your plan.

For more detailed directions, check out the family help guide:

If you have any trouble,

I suggest you contact support so they can help you

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

My son and I both have accounts and I want to upgrade to the family plan. Here's the question: does he lose his playlists as a result of the cancellation of his account and addition to my family account?

matt said to cancel the premium not the account. which shouldn't affect your playlists

I've just done the same thing and my husband's accepted the invite before canceling his individual account! He has a huge playlist and need to recover it. Is this possible?? This is too complicated 😮
