Enable email registration to Spotify

I receive an email from Spotify at least once per week.  Every time I receive one, I opt-out of it and change my notification preferences so that everything is unchecked.  The preferences remain as I set them but I still get those emails.  Is this not illegal for a "legitimate" company like yourselves?  Please take me off your lists.  I have NEVER purchased anything from you and only tried out your service to see if the 99 cent was true, which it wasn't.  Do not send me email again or I will take this to my lawyer.  I'm sure your recent sales will allow me to get a good return on those legal fees.
