How to revoke the access to the account? (plugin/app)

Hi,

I used this "plugin" http://joellehman.com/playlist/

How can I revoke the access I gave it?

There was a Spotify API popup to log in, so I guess there is a way to do it, but this app is not listed anywhere on my account.

Cheers,

Mariusz

I thought API logins where session only. If you go back to the page does it not ask you to login again?

No, they are not. I gave access to http://soundiiz.com to migrate my playlist from Rdio to Spotify.

After the migration, I revoked the app access from Rdio preference panel but cannot found anything like that from Spotify.

So, if I understand correctly, Soundbzz now have full access to my Spotify account and I can't do anything about that?

Why not have a place to see all the linked apps like Twitter, Facebook, Rdio, LastFM, etc?

I suggest you contact support so they can help you

https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/contact-spotify-support/

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

You can also tweet to @SpotifyCares on Twitter for help.

Really is there still no solution for this ?

Thats a bloody joke.

Cant revoke access to apps that have access to my spotify account once granted?

I have the same problem (from wavo.me)... what a serious f'ing joke that there's no API token revoke page. I just emailed support.

It would take a single, competent developer no more than two days to implement.

Support just tells you to contact the app owner.  If I trusted the app owner, I wouldn't be looking to revoke the access!

Same thing with me. Its what lead me here

I know that isn't the best solution, but you can log into the Account overview and click on the "Sign out everywhere" button: https://www.spotify.com/us/account/overview/

This doesn't help, I can use a single click to log back in which means they still have a working auth token. There needs to be a way to invalidate tokens for applications I don't use. The fact that it doesn't seem to exist or that I have to email support is bizzare.

I completely agree this is stupid...

Why cannot spotify provide a way of revoking the application from inside the account centre? They said they have been working on this since 2015 but still we cannot revoke our applications. This is incredibly dangerous. What if an developer decides to start using the API to mine for users emails and spams them using trends and music they can gather from the API? Why can't we revoke what is sent? Spotify you have really dropped the ball on this one. You will be losing a long term customer if you don't resolve the issue promptly.
