My E-Mail adress is supposedly already registered?

So I wanted to change my password just real quick. Didn't touch the email address. When I pressed SAVE, my new password wasn't saved because Spotify says that a profile is already registered with the email adress in my profile?!

 

When I tried to login with that email adress and get Spotify to send me a new password and see with what kind of ghost profile I was supposed to be registered, Spotify said that a profile with my email adress uses Facebook login ... i THEN tried to login with my Facebook (same emailadress, btw) which then showed me that it never before was connected to Spotify. WHAT THE....?

 

I mean, I don't even wanna try to send the "support" an email, because I can't take any more auto-replies. But I would really like to know who uses my email adress ... No fun!

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

It is probably just a duplicate account somewhere in the Spotify system, the Spotify team will be able to sort it out for you, but it will involve 1 more automated reply! Just drop the customer services team a message using the online contact form and they will be able to delete the extra account for you.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
