Problems resetting password

In order to attempt to get this thing working on my Android tablet, I was told to reset the password.

 

When I attempt, I get a red marker over the email address stating that the email address is already in use?  How do I get past that so I can reset my password.

Hi Schmak01- The reason you're having trouble is most likely because you've got two accounts with us. 

 

One is your original 'schmak01' account while the other is linked to Facebook. 

 

I've just removed that new Facebook account for you. You should now. be able to request a new password by clicking here.

Hey. 

I have a problem, i can't remeber the password to my old email that my Spotify account are saved on. And now i can't remeber my password to spotify... So if there are someone who can help me with that problem, and know what I have to do, that will be good!

 

I have no longer access to that email account, so I can't get my Spotify password... 

PLEASE help mee!!!

Hi Schmak01- The reason you're having trouble is most likely because you've got two accounts with us. 

 

One is your original 'schmak01' account while the other is linked to Facebook. 

 

I've just removed that new Facebook account for you. You should now. be able to request a new password by clicking here.

Thanks, that helped fix that problem, but on my ICS tablet it still says offline mode even after logging out and back in with the new password.

 

Without being able to use this on my tablet, about half the functionality is gone.  Any word on when this would be fixed?

I have the same problem- I keep getting the notification that my emailaddress is allready in use. I removed my spotify from facebook (I connected these two a long time ago), it still does not work. Can you please help me, I really have to change my password!

I forgot my password and when I go to the "Spotify will email you info on password reset"... i do not get an email.

I can login with Facebook but there are times I'd rather just login with my info.

Can you reset or email my password for me?

I am having the same problem when i try to change my password.

The reason i need to change my passwrod is that i belive my account has been hacked or something.

(random songs that i definitely have not added appear in my playlists and claim that i have added them)

I have not linked my account to facebook, so i don't think thats the problem.

So... help please?

1kegger1 - Are you requesting a password reset via this website? https://www.spotify.com/password-reset/

 

If you enter your "1kegger1" username you should receive that email no problem. Have you checked your SPAM filter recently?

 

ksetala1 - I believe you're having trouble because you've got two accounts. Please see this post for steps on combining your  "k.setala1" account with the one made via Facebook: http://community.spotify.com/t5/Accounts-Subscriptions-and-Music/Please-read-Missing-playlists-Premi...

 

Then do another password request using your "k.setala1" username. 

 

elisebliks - Have you been able to log in successfully?

That's my problem... I've filled out the form 3 times and I've not received any emails : (

No problem, I've just sent you a direct email. 

 

Any other users experiencing this should first check their Spam filter. Sometimes our emails can lost in there instead of your inbox. 

 

If your Spam filter is Spotify-free just get in touch via the contact form. We can send you a password link after confirming some details.

For some reason I have two accounts. One is linked to my facebook account and the other is linked to an old email address. I'd like to remove the old one but Spotify doesn't send the reset link to my inbox, even after it's said it has. Could someone help me remove it?

Hi jessemainee - It seems you've been able to successfully link those two accounts. Your FB is now linked to 'jessemainee'. 

 

If you'd like to change the email address linked to 'jessemainee' you'll need to get in touch via the contact form. Our CS Team can help after confirming a couple details.

I'm aware I have linked my facebook with my email and that works fine. That's the one I use daily. The problem I'm having is there seems to be a seperate account set up using another email address (jes******@me.com). I'm not sure when this was done, but it uses someone elses name (Akin). I'm receiving emails to my "jes*****@me.com" address but the greeting is for "Akin". What I need to do is figure out how to remove this "jes*****@me.com" account from Spotify and continue using my current account - jes******@gmail.com and/or jessemainee.

I got re-directed by an oh so helpful reply from support.

 

Oh course as my problem is to do with getting a password re-set I had to create a new second account just to log in here.

 

 

I haven't used Spotify for a while but am just re-newing my intrest due to App posibilities and couldn't remember my old password. So I've used the form to request a reset.

 

I've supplied my email address, I've supplied my ID each multiple times. No message has ever reached my email. And yes I have checked my spam filters.

 

What do I do next?

Unfortaunely, looks like the problem is still occuring. I'm reciving emails constantly from another account which is registered with my email. I'm not sure how this could have happened, but it's beginning to creep me out a bit. I've attached a screenshot here Thanks guys.
