My spotify player could not connect to the servers so I unistalled and attempted to redownload but I have been unable to for 4 days. I always receive the same message: The installer was unable to connect to the internet. Please make sure that the computer is connected to the internet and that no firewall is blocking the connection and try again. (Error code: 52). I have tried an ethernet connection as well as wifi and all other internet functions work properly, and I have also unblocked all of my firewall settings, indicating a problem with the Spotify service. I just want to get back to enjoying great music! someone help, please!

It successfully installed the program, but spotify still says that there is a firewall blocking it and won't log me in. I completely disabled windows firewall and that didn't even fix it.

I don't think this is related to the current service issue, since it was reported yesterday @hpguru
Unfortunately error 101 normally does mean something is preventing Spotify to connect, so you might need to ask your university admins to unblock spotify.

It means most likely your university is blocking the p2p connections the desktop client needs to work, which is amazingly commonplace. The web player streams directly from Spotify rather than sharing content accross clients like the desktop client, which is why it will continue to work fine.

My spotify was not working so I unistalled it and now it won download error code 52. NOTHING HAS CHANGED ON MY SYSTEM!
Except an update was installed by spotify prior to it crashing.
