Spotify won't install on windows

My spotify showed error code 101 and said I amnt able to go online anymore so I went onto the frequently asked questions and I was advised to delete and reinstall the app. However when I tried to reinstall it said my firewall was blocking it, which it isn't because I've made no changes to it and I've checked the settings. Can anyone help??

Re: Spotify won't install on windows

It states that your firewall is blocking it (which isn't true), but go and disable your firewall and then try to install it.

I've tried disabling my firewall, no luck! And it's now saying error code 53 which isn't on that list

Hello!

This thread seems to have helped people here. I think basically what they did is moved the Spotify files to another folder and ran the .exe files, does that make sense? :)

Hope this helped :)
