installation failed an error occurred while trying to mount the downloaded Spotify disk image

Learned all,

I am on a macbook air 10.10, and have inunstalled Spotify because of stuttering to re install it. I'm a premuim member and this now my only source of music.

The installation continously fails, re the error message in the title. Other forum posts have refered to DMG download pages but I get the followiong result on the page;

Attention!!!

The file "Spotify.dmg" has been blocked. The file is larger than the configured file size limit.

It would appear that I can't unzip the package to mount the DMG, but I am treading in unknown techie frontiers that I know little about. I have tried two other unarchivers, unzippers I found in appliations and they also can't unpack the downloaded files, attached for refernce, called install Spotify, an application that is 131 kb.

I would really like to return to my happy place, with my Spotify music, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Jamie

I have put the app in a ZIP file.

Try downloading this ZIP file and unzip it:

Hey Matt, appreciate your help thanks. Having trouble downloading the app, It's stuck on 7.3 MB of 53.3 MB, 1 hour 37 min remaining. My internet speeds and connection is fine, I'll keep trying. Jamie

It's a 50MB download so it shouldn't take too long. I just tested it out and it's downloading fine for me.

Hey, I'm able to download the installer from Spotify.com just fine, but when I try to open & install it throws the "Installation failed. An error occurred while trying to download Spotify"

Any ideas?
