Songs Won't Sync

Solved!

Songs Won't Sync

Hello,

I just subscribed to spotify and am having issues with syncing for offline mode. I have the most up to date iOS and the iPhone 5. I have tried to create two playlists totaling 33 songs, and they won't sync. Please advise.

Thanks,
Joel

Do you have the sync over 2G/3G option set to allow in the settings? (Dunno why it doesn't say LTE too)

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

How much free space do you have on your device?

7 GB

Ok, when you say they won't sync, what happens when you mark one of the playlists as Available Offline?

nothing. it doesn't sync.

Are you connected to WiFi or are you synching over the mobile network?

If its mobile network you might need to enable 2G/3G synching from the Settings menu for it to sync.

gotcha. worked. thanks.

I had the same problem and it didn't work for me. Plenty of space, plugged in....the arrows appear but never turn green.

What device and iOS/spotify versions are you having trouble with?

This was the solution to my problem as well.  This setting should be default ON, or more discoverable, in my opinion. I'd stopped using Spotify b/c I couldnt listen offline.

When I try to sync a red exclamation mark comes next to the first song. What does it mean?

Normally means it couldn't sync, which is most often caused by:

- You have synched more than 3,333 tracks already.

- Not having enough free storage space on your device.

I have a Ipod Classic I guess, I have way more then enough space on it but when I sync it to spotify it only allows the local files and maybe like 10 songs from starred and other play lists. I really would like to know how to just get my starred on my device.

I have premium

@Coax - Even with Spotify Premium, you can't sync any Spotify content to an iPod classic. The Spotify iPod sync (excl. iPod Touch) can only be used to sync local files which you already own to iPods, the reason being the non-smart iPods can't run the Spotify app to play Spotify content.

Yes thank you!!

I'm having problems loading a playlist of about 1000 songs onto an iphone 5c. I have 14gb free. I've tried everything above.
