Spotify Tried to Update; now I can't re-install or delete the app

Spotify was working on my ipad (ios version 9.2.1).  Then it was stuck in the middle of an install (I assume because it was getting updated).  Now it's perpetually stuck in an installation mode.  Won't fully install and won't let me delete.  All I can do is stop the installation and then try to re-install, but I end up in the same place.

Hi,

I suggest you force restarting your iPad.

Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
