We've all had the embarrassing experience of being in some social listening situation, trying to queue up a song, and accidentally skipping the current track. It kills the vibe and can make you look like an impatient **bleep**. And it's a pretty easy mistake to make, if you miss the hit box for the ellipsis and instead tap anywhere else on the track. I'm proposing a simple toggle switch in the settings menu, called "Require confirmation before changing tracks". When this setting is toggled to "On", selecting a track will pop up a confirmation window that gives the user the options to Add to Queue, Play, or Cancel. With the setting off, selecting a track plays it immediately, which is the current behavior. If users are engaging in a listening session, this toggle will automatically be set to on for the duration of the session. This mode will prevent accidental track skips and save people from killing the vibe, which at the end of the day, is what it's all about. Another name for this setting could be "Party Mode". And perhaps in the future this mode could enable other features that alter certain functionalities to make the app more user-friendly in group-listening situations.
