As an artist, I want the ability to pause songs in my repertoire, such as Christmas songs. Lately, lots of videogame soundtracks have made their way to spotify. This is great, as now I can listen to a lot of my favourite tracks in high quality, but I find aomething is missing. Usually these songs are created to be constantly repeated over and over again (we are talking about videogame soundtracks after all), but not in the way Spotify currently allows.   These songs have usually a first part designed to kind of "lure" you in, but it is only heard once. The actual loop happens after, between a first point located several seconds after the actual song starts and another one located almost at the end. Most tracks start from the beggining and continue after the full loop has played at least once. At this pont, the song continues for a while (into the next loop, by itself) and slowly fades.   Using Spotify's repeat functionallity, I can repeat the song, but not in the way it was meant to. I have to listen how it fades slowly, stops, and restarts from the begining. This is fine, but there are times in wich I would like to loose myself in a constant loop (the way it was played in videogames) of my favourite track.   My proposal is: give creators the ability to specify the loop the song was designed for and users the ability to activate it for as long as they please.   ... hi! sharing some feedback on the new *playlist // playlist folder shuffling based on usage frequency* feature of the app. i’m a movement professional ((specifically, i teach dance + yoga)) ... and have a passion for music + curating mixes.  this means i have TONS of playlists!  over 800!     i adore spotify, but i really hate this new feature.  in the old version of the app, i had my folders organized in a customized way that streamlined my usage of the app while creating playlists for classes + teaching classes, but now everything is jumbled up in a way that doesn’t serve me.     pinning could work, but i need the ability to pin an unlimited # playlist folders ... imagine, i have 4 different class formats i teach.  for each format, i have a folder of completed playlists + a separate inventory folder of tracks organized by energetic level or BPM.  although some of these folders might go untouched for days at a time, i still need to access them readily when i go looking for them in order to work efficiently.    thanks so much for considering my feedback!  ... I think I would be really positive for Spotify to offer a "high definition" version for people who would like to have sound that's closer to the original recordings from popular music. My music is very very badly represented on Spotify. Despite making hip hop / EDM fusions that sometimes have pop, I find that related artists played are often acoustic and completely unrelated. Part of the problem is that Spotify has not factored in any of the press I have online, has never supported my music in a Spotify editorial playlist and has never supported me at all whatsoever. It is very sad and makes me want to die. Almost all of the playlists that my music is featured on are Hip hop and Pop playlists but for some reason the algorithm is too terrible to factor that in at all. I think part of the problem is being in Texas, because it's extremely regressive and often lacks support for electronic or hip hop music. I loathe that I have to enter a location when pitching to Spotify editorial, because I basically live in the country. Everything in the mainstream seems to lean towards the largest cities in the country, where artists are much more likely to be supported and go viral and being in a state that has a fledgling electronic scene is hugely detrimental. I wish that I had the financial means to escape this **bleep**. My recommendation is to fix the awful algorithm. My music does not sound anything like many of the artists that are considered relevant and the algorithm is ignoring all of my playlist placements and press online. If it's based on location, then please stop that terrible stereotyping. I'm making music that reflects what I enjoy to listen to and that isn't based at all on where I live. I really want Spotify to help me and others like me to succeed. Please stop categorizing my music so terribly. I've already asked support for help several times and they just tell me that they can't do anything. The validation they give me for the terrible algorithm does not justify anything about serving the wrong genre for no reason and shows that the algorithm is not taking into account anything about the music that I make. I listen to a lot of independent artist, meaning they are under no record label or management. Spotify currently allows anyone to add their name to a song another person posts as a feature without approval. With signed artists, the requests are approved by the record label. Because of this lack of protection, popular independent artist often have their platforms abused by others. Small dishonest artist will list these popular artists and content creators as features to their songs, even though they are not actually on the song. They use this tactic to take advantage of dedicated listeners of these popular independent artists and content creators.   I think Spotify should add a feature request to people who have artist profiles. How this could work is when someone wants to post the song, it could post to their own page, but does not list features, and sends feature requests to the owner of the account the poster wants to feature, with the option of approving or denying. If approved, the feature is added to the artist list under the song and the song is added to the featured artist's discography as it normally is. If denied, none of this happens. I feel that this way, Spotify can also track who is abusing their platform by tracking their denied feature requests. If they have a bunch, they risk termination of their artist account, because let's be real, we shouldn't want people who take advantage of others on this platform.    I hope this makes sense.  ... I think it will be pretty cool if you can dedicate days to artists who's birthday it is and the playlist can be their hits. Today was Tupac's birthday and my friends and I were listening to his music.. We thought it would be cool if there was a playlist dedicated to him in people's home page, that way many users can discover new artists and music and I think many people will love this idea! A lot of people love moving and/or animated things (that’s why a lot of people are on Spotify because of canvas).  So I want to introduce the moving album art ideal.   Apple has animated album arts on their platform (see example in attachments)which may not compare to canvas but it still brought people to their platform and I bet if they here it’s on Spotify then they would go to Spotify instead of Apple Music.   How I think it would work is through Spotify for Artist just like canvas.   I have a Spotify for Artists and I would like this on there too.     Here are some reasons why: It could express what the album means It could bring more people to listen to that album It could have more people go to the artists profile and it could bring more people to Spotify   Now, Let’s Move On To Animated Artist Pictures   Apple has a similar feature (see The Weeknd’s Animated Artist Picture)   Animated Artist Photos would give people a glance of what the artist is about and would excite more people to listen, and Spotify could use the animation for promos like when they share that an artist is on a playlist   I would think that would be available in Spotify for Artist also   I hope you give this some consideration. ... Have something like a tip jar per account. And people could opt in or opt out. And every month, you could auto-fill it for whatever amount you would like. Then, at the end of the month, top ten songs you listened to, that tip jar a amount would be evenly split between 10 songs. And the artists of those songs would get whatever that would amount to per song.   So for example, if you tip jar is $2 per month. Each of the songs would get $.20 (2.00 / 10 = .2), and those $.20 would go to each artist every month.   This way we can give extra support to the artists directly for the songs we listen to. As an artist who uses Facebook and Instagram ads to send traffic to my songs on Spotify, it would be very helpful to be able to to see how my campaigns are affecting my streams or listeners in real time. This would make it easier to adjust the ads in order to drive more (and better quality) traffic to Spotify.   The stream count updates live in the first 7 days, but it doesn't show you the breakdown by countries. This does seems disappointing. One of the main reasons I signed up for an artist account was so that I could share the music that inspires me (as a fairly anonymous artist) with my fans easily, but having carefuly curated a playlist I see that it now shares my name and personal account along with it, so I won't be creating/sharing any playlists.    Is there anywhere we could vote for this feature?
