When playing the app on Desktop, currently if you have the app open on your phone the audio switches as soon as you plug in headphones to your phone. This is rather annoying if you need to plug headphones into your phone to receive a call, as music starts blasting through the app on the phone.  The idea is to have a control in the Settings so you can turn automatic device switching on and off. When off, the user will have to click to change the device and confirm it, when on, the user will experience the app as it currently is. I wanted to come in contact with Spotify to let them know a suggestion of mine that just came to mind. I think it would be great if the developers came up with a way to mark where you left off with a playlist. (Even though it's marked as Desktop, this goes for any platform honestly)   So how my playlist filter used to work (and from what I've looked into this was intentional) was, when I filtered a song from my playlist, because it's a lot easier to find a specific song that way (since my playlist has over 1,000 songs), I could press play on the song while shuffling and it would play the song specifically while also continuing to shuffle through all the songs in the playlist, filtered or not filtered (because I just wanted to start the shuffle with that specific song and/or more by adding them to the queue afterwards.). But now I can't do that because whenever I filter a song and press play on that song, when I check the queue, it only shows songs in the filter specifically now, leaving away the rest of the playlist.  Now I am aware that some people like the idea of having the filter only play the songs that were in the filter, which is why I want there to be some kind of setting to pick if you want the filter for playlists to either play only the filtered songs in the queue or if you want it to continue to play the entire playlist regardless of if they were a part of the filter (since I mostly use the filter to find specific songs instead of only playing certain songs). ... I would like to have a quick button "add to playlist" above the "heart button" when i have opened a song.   So when you are listening to new music you can like the song (add it to your library) and add it to a playlist in a short amount of time.   No need to open the "more options menu" (3 points menu) anymore. ... I usually use spotify in two different ways: Work mode: which implies mainly instrumental music to concentrate or to isolate from the surrounding environment. This context doesn't reflect my music tastes and I don't usually select the artists that I'm listening. Free time mode: In this mode I listen to the music I enjoy the most, to sing, to dance or whatever. This is what I would label as "my music tastes". The main implication is that at the end of the day my statistics are biased due to the time I spend working at the computer (8 hours per day). Even if I already receive personalized daily mix, it would be interesting to have the possibility to switch between the two modes and to receive contextualized suggestions. I would like to be able to skip a song via right-clicking it in a playlist and selecting "Skip this song". If I use AirPlay or Youtube casting with my Samsung TV, I can select the TV without the AirPlay or Youtube app being open on the TV... even when the TV is turned off. Spotify Connect, however, only shows my TV when the Spotify app is open and when I've selected my account.   It would be much better if I could play music on my TV from my phone without navigating to the app first, especially as my soundbar is not 'Smart'. ... Please make keyboard shortcuts to listen on devices such as Sonos speakers. I'm always starting music and then the little button on the bottom right and picking from the drop-down to listen to one of my Sonos speakers.     In the new update, each song in a playlist shows the album cover from whence it's from, which is a really cool idea, but it makes each song take up twice as much space, so it takes a little while longer to scroll through my longer playlists.     I think an option that could fix this is to allow us to toggle a compact mode in settings, which would essentially make all the songs look how they did before. ... The shuffle option is a hassle. It is inconvenient at times when I want to play the songs in the playlist as it is. The preview options are also removed making it complicated. Have the option to add songs in your queue to a playlist: I am not sure if I am the only one who struggles with this but sometimes I don’t want to listen to the songs I previously added to my queue. Time has passed and I want to play other music but I don’t want to abandon then completely. I like listening to the news and a few podcasts in the morning while I'm getting ready for work. I have a particular order that I like to listen to them, based on what I'm doing (eg 15 minutes walking the dog lines up with the length of NPR's "Up First").    I'd like to set up a playlist that plays today's (or the latest) episode of my shows on a daily basis. But right now, I have to go back and forth into the app to find and play each episode. I usually queue up episodes, but that still involves rooting around in the app and missing some podcasts because they don't show up in my "recently listened".   Any ideas?
