I’ve been listening to Podcasts for a year or two now and one of the biggest components of a great podcast is the comment section.

This is vital for a podcasts success because the comment section is where a podcasts community can connect with each other, which gives the podcast a little bit of flavor

If Spotify can add a comment section to its podcasts page, then it will most definitely kill YouTube podcasting and give you guys most of the market share 😉

Feature Proposal: PodTalks (POT)

I’m proposing a comment system called PodTalks (POT) to be integrated into Spotify podcasts.

🎧It allows verified users to leave comments under each episode.

🛡️ Moderation is AI-powered and one violation leads to permanent comment ban.

📌Podcasters can pin top comments and engage directly with their audience.

It’s designed to increase interaction, community engagement, and retention on Spotify.

I’ve already prepared a full pitch deck, UI mockups, and a video prototype.

Please hide comments on podcasts by default. Frequently the first comment is an unintentional spoiler or some negative comment that I don't have any interest in reading. Unfortunately it's directly under the video panel in the now playing view.

I hate that comments are shown now automatically. Please make it possible to hide those. I really want to listen and watch podcasts but its annoying to see everybody’s comments. Many thanks Mario

Please turn this back off—if we wanted a third-grade-level emoji discussion with bots and trolls and neckbeards in their mom’s basement on our podcast experience, we can go to YouTube or Facebook for way cheaper. You’re killing your core brand differentiator by implementing this, and you will lose market share in podcast views as a result if you do not option this off soon—watch

If you aren’t going to option it, can you give me some insight into how to simply block every other user so I don’t have to see their emojis, spoilers, irrelevant opinions and asinine comments, etc.?
