All devices become one sound system

I think I read this idea somewhere on the forum, but I wanted to repeat it.

There should be the "Cloud System" or "Device Sound System" Option, for Android, iPhone, iPad and Desktop.

You activate it on your PC and a list of all online devices appears, like:

"Devices:

GT-I9100

My iPad

My Desktop"

You can mark them or not.

Once you start a song on your PC afterwards, all activated devices start to play the song in synchronized time.

This would also allow my iPad or SGSII to become a remote for the sound system attached to my laptop.

Of course it allows for cool parties too, I attach boxes to iPad, SGSII and take the sound system of my laptop and I can place them anywhere I want. 1 in the bath, one in the kitchen and one in the living room and play and adjust the playlists anywhere I want.

My neighbours would LOVE that 😉

Hello everyone!

We're happy to announce that we've implemented the Spotify Connect feature which allows you to control playback and multiple devices from your mobile phone. You can check our out most recent update on the rollouts and partners here:

http://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Announcements/Spotify-Connect-The-new-way-to-play-at-home/m-...

However, Spotify Connect works just like Spotify does today, so only one device on a single account can playback at a time. If you'd like to vote on this idea please check out this topic:

Enjoy the music!

You can do this with Airfoil

S10QaN

This would also need a sync mode. Lets say that your desktop play the song 52 ms after or 100 ms before, it would just be echo. So manual ms sync mode.

Sorry for ruin the English language.

In each client you should have the posibility to select "output device" from a list with all connected devices. I have an Android Mini TV with spotify, should be heaven if I can control what is playing on TV from desktop client or smartphone

Ultimation

Tell Apple to break their "AirPort monopoly." A Mac is fully capable of doing this already, even with multiple speaker sets, but you have to buy 3rd party software to do it outside of iTunes because they don't have a financial interest in making it possible to do it from any program.

Please, do it!!!

I have a Samsung GT-I9000 which is the *best* phone for music, regarding audio quality.

I'd *LOVE* to be able to remotely launch songs, music, etc.

Some kind of "play on..." menu option, where you could choose what device to play the music with.

Thanks.

Also, if you were listening to a song on sesktop client, and you are switching to the app onyour phone, there should be an option that you could continue play from where you were on the desktop client! So if you we're listening to an album and you have to go, you kan keep listening, but on a different device....

This feature has been eluded to in these topics:

Remote Control: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Ideas/Remote-control/idi-p/15319

DLNA support in Spotify: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Ideas/DLNA-support-in-Spotify/idi-p/3523

Parify / Spotify Party Mode: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Ideas/Partify-Spotify-Party-Mode/idi-p/42115

Resume playing on different device: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Ideas/Resume-playing-on-different-device/idi-p/15185

But the description of this topic is better and this topic is more specific and concrete. This topic needs to gain some kudos!!!

This would eliminate the need to buy an expensive Sonos or Airplay system. This does not mean that each device would be playing different tracks, but the SAME track on the systems marked in the checkbox. Or at least the ability to startup spotify on another device and have it play the same music that is already playing on another device.

Actual spotify control - modifying playlists, deleting, etc - could be transfered from device to device by a "take over control" button. These features could be make available to Premium subsribers only to promote more subscriptions.

This feature would basically take care of having a Remote application as you would be transfering control the the current device.

Please share this topic with your friends so this more specific topic gains some steam!!

I think you mean "alluded" but yes I think it would be a great feature to have device synchronisation.

I often Shazam a track on my phone when I'm out and about and then pick the "play in Spotify" option. I would really like to be able to pick this up on my PC when I get home and have it available in the play queue.

Also the ability to simultaneously play a track across multiple Spotify clients. ie walk in the door playing a track on my phone and switch to/add another Spotify client aka "Party Mode".

Most of the above can be achieved by creating a playlist and then using Spotimote, it's just a faff to do so.

There are more devices out there with Airplay and DLNA than native support for Spotify. So adding those two functions to the app would make it more versatile.

Kudos added.

Spotify client comes built in to loads of devices, I have a TiVo and an Onkyo amplifier with Spotify built in.  It would be great to be able to control the client on these type of devices and maybe Xbox/Playstation from my any logged in full client like Android/Windows to select what that device plays.  Normally because those devices whilst very good at doing what they do are normally have rubbish interfaces for Spotify.
