[Android][Other] Integration of Spotify and BMW Connected Drive - Android

So this idea has been implemented for iOS, can we see some Android love please???

The Connected Drive app is available on the Google Pllay store but it's only showing integration with Twitter and some other parts of the phone, would love to see Spotify added to this!

I can tell you that in a 7-Series, the experience is not great.  Hardly use Spotify app on the 7 series because it's so poor.  If I was Spotify, I'd look for another Test Manager, because if he/she is signing off apps as working, then they're pretty much lying.

The BMW connected Android app February's update seems to have fixed some of the issues. Now I'm able to see album art and select Playlist from the car's screen and control. However, I'm still not able to access and select tracks from the Playlist from the car's HUD with the steering wheel control. Well, at least there's some improvement to the issue.

Dear Vincent007 could you share the version of the app used because I did all the aplication update and it is still not working.

In the idrive menu the spotify icon appears in the phone app list but I get only a Blank screen when trying to launch it.

Hi Patrick-L, I'm currently on version 6.1.0.5272 BMW Connected app with latest Spotify update. The phone I'm using is Huawei Honor View 10 with Android 9.0 (Pie)

Spotify fully works now on my 120i ´17. Today in the morning was an update @__spo__ to Beta 8.4.96.939 @ BMW App 6.1.0.5272

Make sure in your phone's setting (under battery > app launch) to allow both the bmw connected app and Spotify to:

1. Auto launch

2. Secondary launch

3. Always run in background

Ma che telefono avete? Io un Sony Xperia X con Android 8.0 Oreo (impostazioni versione Bluetooth da sviluppatore impostate su AVCRP 1.6), app BMW connected e Spotify con l ultimo aggiornamento eppure non mi funziona: mi ha funzionato la prima volta (e ho notato che non si può scorrere più tra i brani come prima) e adesso non mi va più, mi dice che le app sono collegate ma spesso non mi compare l icona di Spotify e quando mi compare non mi apre l applicazione dallo schermo bmw (schermo base da 6,5'' senza Bluetooth avanzato).

Mi chiedo, è un problema ma di telefono visto che non ho Android Pie 9.0?
