Clear play queue

I have to restart my spotify when I accendently start a song from a search instead of adding it to the queue (happens often to me), would be lovely if there would be a clear button for all the songs added to the queue by spotify it self.

Updated: 2020-12-17

We're happy to announce that we have implemented the Clear queue feature on our mobile app as well.

Just open the queue and you should see the Clear all button at the top

Hey folks, you can now find a 'CLEAR' button on the Play Queue in your Spotify Desktop app.

If using Spotify on your mobile device you can check the songs in 'Up Next' and then select 'REMOVE'.

Thanks for your feedback everyone!

This really doesn't qualify as 'implemented'.  The mobile app works brilliantly as a remote control which makes it all the more infuriating and confusing that some key features work differently, or are missing entirely, on mobile.

There's space on screen for a 'clear queue' button on mobile.

You could have it at the bottom of the play queue.

Have a second "confirm" stage step to deal with accidental activations.

There's still no way to clear the entire queue on mobile without checking every song. Please add this as I accidentally added a whole playlist to the queue and couldn't clear it without going to desktop

All I'm reading here is:

THERES STILL NO CLEAR QUEUE FUNCTION ON MOBILE.

Still, since 2013! (https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Mac/Clear-queue/m-p/572510#M109534)

No-one want to manually select and delete 10 songs.

Please pass it on and introduce this. Pls!!

Pls look also here and vote:

Never will be. Never. Nobody should be paying for a subscription on this platform without such basic functionality.

Hey Spotify pls wake up and pass it on...

Inevitably, all of our queues will lose their order and structure over time. For me, my queue starts to get messed up when I'm shuffling between multiple playlists. I'm sure everyone has their own experiences.

And to be clear, I love the queue. It's amazing to set a song going, and know that you don't have to click any additional buttons to listen to some awesome music.

But when you want to clear the queue, you have to press hundreds of buttons. It seems to me that there are three ways around this - but all three are 'workarounds', rather than genuine solutions:

1) Log out of Spotify on your phone or computer and log in again.

2) Play the very last song in the queue.

3) Manually remove EVERY song in the queue.

I'd like to petition Spotify to restore the "Clear Queue" button.

It used to exist on all platforms, and I'm sure there were logical reasons for its removal - no doubt there are layers upon layers of problems one encounters when coding such a feature - but in the interests of producing an efficient, intuitive app, I believe millions of users would benefit from this tool.

It would save me HOURS! Thank you!
