[Country] Spotify in India

I've been a Spotify Premium user from the Netherlands for 5 months now. In a month I will be going back home to India, which is where I'm from. Will Spotify ever be available in India? I'm not sure if this is the right platform for this question but it would be great to be able to access my account from there and I thought I should at least ask.

Thank you!

Im tired of waiting and hearing 'we are launching in new countries soon'

I don't know why British Music Streaming services are (Spotify & Deezer) not launching in India. The listeners from India really enjoyed this services out side of India ( from foreign region). Yes, from them we are already know how streaming services are really good (from YouTube videos, social media, some foreign friends). So, this year I read a news blog from  Tech Crunch, where they are saying Spotify & Amazon Music are launching this year (don't know where is going Deezer, who already realease the official app in India but not there service, only radio and podcast from Europe is available there) . Amazon Music (Amazon Prime subscription ₹999/year) already entered in November 2017.  Many of people in India using Apple Devices, so they can easily using now Apple Music Premium ₹120 per month per person (There is also Google Play Music & Saavn ₹99/month,  which is not liking better streaming services for all ). Now is the great time for Spotify and Deezer ,( because they have a premium looking interface, which is buggy less and more interesting) to Launching there services in India with a freemium services for all new customers, and need a lower cost premium subscription ( to break all costliest streaming services which are available  here ), which is below from others & worth for value. We are waiting Spotify to listening & see what is next turn for all Indian Music Lover.

Hi,

I listen to music a lot and tried more than 10 different music streaming services available in India, but none of them match the quality that Spotify provides(even though it is not available right now in India). The recommendation of Spotify is no match, it is at a different level. As I live in India I cannot access the spotify directly.

I think most of the music lovers will be ready to pay premium prices for the premium quality of music and services provided by Spotify.

Any updates @__spo__

Waiting for Spotify in India.....

Navneet

I have been a Spotify user since they launched in Sweden. I recently moved to India and can no longer use the app. Anyone that can help me find a solution for this? Life without Spotify is going to be difficult.

I was using Spotify in Canada. I relocated to India and can still use it.
Don't update your address in App Store & you should be able to use it here.
Navneet
Hey Abhi,

It worked for two months, but then I had to change to my payment method and
after that I cannot use it. I am thinking, if I ask someone in Sweden to do
the payment, would it work then, what do you think?
abhyudaypratap

Hello Navneet,

Yes, it will work. Spotify checks from the which country the payment is made.

Again as abhi said, "Don't update your address in App Store". The payment method should be from the country where Spotify is available and Spotify will work fine.

Abhi_85
Hey Navneet

I believe it would not work even if someone ends up paying on your behalf.
You need to set your App Store to the payment method of the country in
which Spotify is available. You will have to choose which country setting
better serves your needs. I have not felt the need for changing my country
to India so far. Most Indian apps like Hotstar or other banking apps are
available in the global app store. I just pay for them through internet &
then access the apps on my mobile. It has worked for me till now.
