Customization of playlists (cover and description box)

Hello, Spotify Community! 

One of the things I enjoy about Spotify, is that I get to share music I enjoy, with people all around the world. But how great would it be if it was possible to customize your playlists, to make it your very own. And it doesn't necessary need a lot of advanced or fancy stuff, just your picture of choice for the cover (instead of 4 album covers from your tracklist) and a description box, would be enough to make it kind of original (and make it easier for people to know what kind of music the playlist will include/what it's made for etc.).

Hi, has this update been added yet?  i would like to change the 4 album covers on my playlist avatar.

the one's selected by spotify are not a reflection of my music choices and really annoy me!

Hi I find the discovery weekly playlists are getting worse and worse. most of the time it is just picking songs that i keep on listenting too and put then together in a different mix. I find this slightly disappointing as I used to like the discovery weekly playlist as it introduced you to new artists. This does not seem to be the caae anymore.

My spotify won't let me customize my playlist for some reason. I put my curser on the playlist cover and it doesn't give me the option to edit it like it should. I'm using it on desktop

it seems that only some users can change their playlist thumbnails? maybe you have to be spotify rockstar. i hope they open this up to everyone soon!

radkxtie Yes you must have premium for this to work, and so far I only see it working on the desktop app, not Android or IOS yet.

as a designer, i have no problem with the custom avatar/artwork upload feature, but taking a step back, it's more of a novelty compared to another feature: having the ability within multi-artist playlists to view and select up to 4 album artwork images for the avatar, as Spotify has done by default from the start. So e.g. on my playlist "SLXNZ Radiation City," I would be able to view all the artwork represented within the playlist, and select up to 4 covers rather than ONLY have the option of uploading 1 new image. Sure, I could google up, download, and stitch together 4 artworks to Spotify's avatar specs and upload it, but with over 5,000 playlists... Ek, please!
