[Desktop] Bring back Lyrics

Allow me to re-edit again, in premise, that thanks to all of you this idea keeps receiving votes, and I am grateful to each of you, and when I expressed this desire as an idea I was a newbie, I owe to the professionality of Marco and Toku, whom I thank again, that I became aware that this idea it’s by no means new, nor even mine but Spotify’s, yet it is properly expressed, and it is shared by enough Community members for it to be still alive, and I agree with Arcanscape that, "We really need the lyrics feature", and I just notice an excellent temporary alternative of “SpotifyLyrics” kindly programmed and provided by Mirth (fr31): https://github.com/fr31/spotifylyrics/releases (via scoobyTdog), it works very well on my Pc 🙂 and I invite you all to try it.

Whilst singing might be fun, I have another approach to lyrics and sound, which is of course not mutually exclusive, and I read the words to see if I like them as I enjoy the melody, if I see myself in the lyrics, if I share the values expressed, and this is easier by having the words at hand.

So please Spotify bring back the Lyrics Feature most elegantly -- as you did with restyling the Community -- when you find a better Lyrics Provider.

Reading and listening might be even better than karaoke, although not as fun 😉

and every member could always do both, even just singing, as a very close person in my family does, and many other people do.

still not working for me on my android mobile app. Any reason why? It's working though on the web browser.

Might I suggest reinstalling the app if you are having trouble seeing lyrics, it helped for me when I had the issue. 

(Also make sure its a song that supports lyrics there are still a few missing them.)

I got an update notification on my new device about lyrics, although I can't see it or access it,  I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. logged off and logged back. NOTHING,  Although my friend does get it and he isn't a premium member.  My device is as new as his.  I've reached out to support several times and get the same reply...not everyone gets it, its in a test phase...This to me isn't a good enough reply.  I shouldn't have received a lyrics update if it doesn't work!

Still cant view lyrics on my mobile app. On desktop it works fine. My wife's smartphone is the same as mine and she can ser lyrics there.

Genius was way better. Musixmatch has a lot of misheared lyrics. You should have continued the partnership with Genius. The time sync is off too most of the time. Why did you switch to Musixmatch?

The lyrics sharing on mobile is great tho, i like that feature.

I am unable to see lyrics only on my account, please fix it i can see it on the desktop but in my mobile phone i can not see lyrics on my account but other accounts i can. Spotify team please help me. Thankyou.

That is all. But it sure would be nice to have a little Feedback button in the app to submit compliments like this - was annoying finding this spot.

I really need a lyrics feature, but now please, make an option to show lyrics on a floating mode like mini lyrics. I feel incomplete without this feature.
