[Desktop][Discover] new release button

What i want to suggest here it's pretty simple:

I found myself using and spend a lot of time with Spotify app on my desktop pc, in my case it's Mac mini but vailed for regular Windows pc.

sometimes it's nice to follow up on new releases before Friday and listen to them.

What i want to see here?

same button that already appears on the mobile app. (bell button)

When is this finally coming? It's such a simple feature, and we are halfway in '23, and it's still not there yet. The infrastructure is there as its available on mobile...

Also expressing my support for this idea with a comment, as it seems like we can't like it anymore.

You removing links to third-party solutions makes me pretty mad. If you are not handling this issue and not even letting us now if you are working on it hiding community made solutions is a shame. I totally understand that is probably company policy and is not like developers are thinking: yeah! let's avoid contributions and have a closed source to maximize company benefits even if the product is worse for the users! I love working from Monday to Friday 😀

So well, I hope someone can vouch for this to be implemented.

I have got new Release button on Desktop.

Good feature. Needs slightly improvements. Compared to Your podcasts view the line of content is much less wide.

I think they should be equal. As well I would prefer other presentation of this. Maybe it should be showed as a drop down menu from the button, so it wouldn't need new page in the app. Or you could make this page more functional simply scaling the view based on resolution. Much like on main page, there could be like five or seven releases on one row at full laptop screen.

NO. WAY. I cannot believe it. Just updated [Spotify for macOS (Apple Silicon)
1.2.20.1216.ge7a7b92f] and I can actually follow new releases while working without falling into a phone vortex.
They finally listened, and it only took 3+ years of requests. 🙏

Couldn’t agree more.

I’ve been keeping updates from this thread since I contributed to it & it’s been a LONG TIME coming to say the least. Glad they finally implemented this long overdue feature to the desktop version.
