[Desktop] Equalizer for the Desktop Version

There should be an Equalizer for the Desktop version of Spotify.

Since Spotify's mobile apps now have an EQ setting, this should be implemented on the desktop version, too!
The EQ should come with various presets but also the ability to save your own custom settings.

Hey folks,

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange and voting to make this happen.

We're happy to announce that the Equalizer option is now available on desktop - and is gradually rolling out to all users over the next week. You will be able to play around and customize the sound of your music for a better listening experience by toggling your Equalizer on your computers.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how in 2015 Spotify does not have an Eq. It is so ridiculous. The sound is so muddy and bland. It surely can't be that hard. Seriously!

Spotify needs this feature for the desktop, its annoying as a musician to not be able to perfect the sound for the best listening. Please implement this!!

I don't understand how is it possible that after so many comments there is not any answer from Spotify yet.

This EqualizerAPO contains malware..

Absolutely does not! Windows may not like that you are adding an EQ right into the OS, but it is not malware. It does absolutely nothing malicious; it just adds something to the OS.

I'm on a trial with Spotify but I will not be signing up now because Apple music has an equalizer. This is important for my listening needs. Bad decision by Spotify to not implement one.

I just wanted to echo what a lot of people have already said... This is something that should have been implemented a long time ago. This isn't a feature in my eyes, it's a necessity. And I am quite close to switching to Apple Music (even though I've been a devoted Spotify user for a couple of years now) because they understand this.

Please make this a priority!

Totally agree. I think it was developed like a web service to run in a browser rather than native application. I came close to canceling a month ago and decided to stay because of the interface. Followed this thread for a month and surprisingly there was not a single reaction from Spotify guys. So I pulled the plug, although I believe in areas Apple Music has some way to go but the essence is there and the sound is better, if you are in Apple ecosystem - it works nicely plus you can have the whole family listening for 15 bucks. I like Spotify, but not enough to sertle for worse audio quality

Come on guys... If you can add EQ for mobile you can definitely do it on the desktop version...
