[Desktop] Equalizer for the Desktop Version

There should be an Equalizer for the Desktop version of Spotify.

Since Spotify's mobile apps now have an EQ setting, this should be implemented on the desktop version, too!
The EQ should come with various presets but also the ability to save your own custom settings.

Hey folks,

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange and voting to make this happen.

We're happy to announce that the Equalizer option is now available on desktop - and is gradually rolling out to all users over the next week. You will be able to play around and customize the sound of your music for a better listening experience by toggling your Equalizer on your computers.

I'm very happy to see that after being discarded, our idea was accepted and implemented!

I'm no Shure where I can find it, though... looked everywhere and couldn't find it...

Didn't find an updated version of the software, also...

That is AWESOME news!!!  Been waiting for this equalizer option on the desktop version for years!  Now I can listen on my desktop thru speakers and have a great sound choice option!  👍

Too bad I switched to apple music 2.5 years ago over this very feature. Their service is kinda a pain, but I've already migrated and it's had an EQ from day 1. Now I have years of momentum in a different service and it'd be a pain to come back. Please be better on responding to basic audio app features. This shouldn't have taken 7+ years to get, especially when it was already in the mobile app.

Great that they listened to users.  But the 5-band EQ is quite limited.  I moved on years ago to Boom (Mac).  It was glitchy for a long time but works well for past couple of years.  33-Band EQ (2 hidden bands between each shown pop-up upon mouse-over):Screen Shot 2022-08-12 at 1.35.56 PM.pngScreen Shot 2022-08-12 at 1.32.07 PM.png

An EQ on mobile and desktop is great but it should have lower frequencies than 60Hz as well.

In this update from Spotify, they say that the equalizer has been IMPLEMENTED, but that is not the whole truth...not even close.  The equalizer for the PC desktop is only available, at best, to 50% of users, worldwide.  Yet, they say that it's implemented.  It said it would be "...rolling out to ALL USERS over the next week."  This was last week, by the way.  ALL USERS...this is SUCH a bummer and completely misleading!  Come on SPOTIFY!!!  You can definitely do better than a partially implemented function.  At least be honest and tell us what your plans REALLY ARE.

Here is the message from them:

not a bad start, but it should be a better one, not the one that is 'hidden' in configuration.... and at LEAST 10 bands.

Way to go.
