It would be siiiiick if sharing playlists to ig stories showed my uploaded playlist artwork instead of the first four album artworks.  just sayin

yo, while getting sick because of that, i’ve found a workaround i didn’t think about before, take a look at this:

 

when you click share to ig on spotify, you go to ig with some template, where we have that incorrect playlist cover, but nothing stands against putting black cover on this whole template and prepare your own with ig tools as i did. i think having minimal photoshop skills it’s possible to prepare 1:1 template of that screen with your own cover. for me, my custom design is even better. ofc link to spotify playlist works as it should. issue not solved but for me finally isn’t a problem.

this is ridiculous, it's 2022 but this is still not implemented, this is not a rocket science. seems that if the playlist is created by spotify, it will show the custom cover picture, but if the playlist is created by someone else even the artist itself, the custom cover picture does not show.

It's 2022 and an idea that has had over 500 votes for 3 years has not been implemented yet. What on earth is the point of the voting if Spotify won't make the changes? There's no reason why Spotify made artwork shows when sharing to social media, but user created artwork does not. This should be a simple change. Spotify, make this happen already - it's at over 2,000 votes already - obviously a large chunk of your premium user base wants this.
