Smart shuffle is a fun way to discover new songs, but it comes at a cost. Want to reshuffle your queue? Bam, wait a few seconds longer. Want to unshuffle your playlist? Bam, no longer works, and goes to a completely random place in the playlist.

To me this is an unwanted complication, and I'd much rather be able to choose in the settings menu whether I want to enable the Smart Shuffle feature, or disable it.

Smart shuffle is useless to me.  Fairly sure it's another enshittification feature privileging monetisable content via the barest minimum of personalisation at the expense of user autonomy.

Spotify finding yet another way to annoy its users for no reason. The one thing we actually wanted (a true shuffle) they are incapable of delivering on.

Please make this a disable/enable setting. Maybe permanently disable per playlist? Finna switch to YouTube music.

Hi, my idea is very simple. One button in the settings that when pressed will completely remove the shuffle/smart shuffle button so that my playlists will never under any circumstance play in any kind of shuffle mode.

I don't pay £12 a month for the free service and whenever I open the android app and play music it is nearly always on the god-awful smart shuffle by default.

I already have the technical ability to block the ads on the free version but I pay because I cannot control the shuffle feature. If you cannot give me an option to get rid of the shuffle feature as a subscriber then there is no point to me paying and I will go just back to my integrated adblocked version of Spotify.

Smart shuffle is absolutely driving me nuts. It turns on by it self all the time, I disable it and minimise and 20 mins later it's back on. 

I don't think the feature itself is a bad idea but 90% of the time I'm listening to a playlist I only want to hear what's within it 

Spotify please stop shoehorning this feature on me.

I’ve got Spotify for such al long time and I’ve liked it very much but in the last years things have changed. It started with the promise a few years ago to improve the sound quality. Nothing happens while the other companies have improved their quality. Recently I bought a descent hifi system which forces me to sign up with Tidal to get better sound quality. And now they force me to listen to **bleep** music when I play my playlists in shuffle. 
I think my time with Spotify is heading to an end. It feels a bit sad but my feeling is that Spotify don’t listen to their customers any longer.
