[Music] Block / Hide / Blacklist Tracks or Artists

The Star feature should be complemented with a way to mark tracks as excluded. Those tracks would then be skipped even when included in the current playlist.
This way the enjoyment of a good album wouldn't be disrupted by tracks you don't like, while the album in its entirety can still be kept in the playlist.
The Anti-star can easily be implemented as a flipside to the regular star as they are mutually exclusive. Click the star once, the track becomes a favorite. Click again, the star icon changes to the anti-star and click a third time and either flag is gone.

A no-brainer to me.

Hey,

Thanks for coming to the Community Idea Exchange.
We're marking this idea as 'Implemented'.

The option 'Don't play this artist' is now available on iOS and Android.

You can also find more info on hiding individual tracks from playlists or albums here.

If we have any information about this on other platforms in the future, we'll report back!

I wish we had a dislike button to avoid listening to songs we don’t like. I don’t like that I have always skip a song manually while playing an album

**bleep**!

Why Spotify management and employees are so incompetent **bleep**s regarding this simple feature?

The request is not about  blacklisting artists! This is about blacklisting SONGS :S

WHY it is so hard ti implement it? This was requested back in 2012! And it is clearly a basic function ...

I'm sure Spotify wants commercial money for promoting songs, so they can play them until you will be forced to love it ...

But if I pay for a service, then I want the option to listen what I want and not what is forced on me.

(I do not know why O-M-G was "beeped" in the beginning of my last comment ...)

Wow, I can't believe how hard it is to give an email feedback to this service!  I don't even know where this is going!  I find Spotify to be a real value per month.  The playlists are a little short I think but I like to listen to music for a lot of the day.  What I REALLY want is the ability to delete tracks I NEVER want to hear again.  Yes, I can run to the computer or my iPhone to skip but when I started you could go thumbs down on the "radio" channels. Now it looks like only the Discover Weekly not even the Daily Mixes 1 thru 6.  Please Spotify let us delete hated songs...if I hear "Ooh La Lah" by Faces one more time I'm gonna jump out of a window...except I live in a ranch house.

Please make this possible on desktop and iPhone!

Hi Spotify team, it is rather disingenuous to mark this suggestion as "implemented" when I cannot access this functionality on the desktop program.

Frankly ridiculous, I am sure you have millions of users who like me use the desktop app when not out and about, this sort of halfway feature implementation is disappointing to say the least.

Please have this put into the desktop program.

So implemented and removed or not working? In ios, the dislike button is gone yet again and Spotify is again the absolute slowest at fixing this. I will be moving to Apple Music.

Hey, it seems you've figure it out on mobile.

But you know what, someone's still love PC who have the same problem. I'm waiting for a solution for PC too. And i believe that it should be as "play this song's radio>right click on a song that you don't want to listen never>don't play this artist or don't play this song on radio".

Thanks.

Can this function please be added to desktop Spotify as well? I mainly use Spotify on desktop and I can't curate song and album radios easily.

When this option will be available for Mac?
