[Music] Block / Hide / Blacklist Tracks or Artists

The Star feature should be complemented with a way to mark tracks as excluded. Those tracks would then be skipped even when included in the current playlist.
This way the enjoyment of a good album wouldn't be disrupted by tracks you don't like, while the album in its entirety can still be kept in the playlist.
The Anti-star can easily be implemented as a flipside to the regular star as they are mutually exclusive. Click the star once, the track becomes a favorite. Click again, the star icon changes to the anti-star and click a third time and either flag is gone.

A no-brainer to me.

This is an easy to implement feature, Spotify needs to come out into the open and explain why they do not implement this. 

There are some artists I sometimes encounter that cause me grind my teeth during the time it takes me to skip them. and in radio stations with a small number of available bands, that is too often. I really don't see how a very annoying situation, which is happening to many people (several thousand clicked here, there are more out there) is not resolved. This is an additional feature, which if implemented, would not harm any other user, so there is virtually no reason not to implement this. 

quick edit: I found another similar thread with 3k plus votes. so the real number of people pissed off by non-liked content is provable higher even on these very forums.

As Spotify seems to hate this idea I would like to recommend downloading an app called "Skipify", it's completely crazy that you need an external app to do such a basic task however that app at least let's you block artists from ruining your playlist, at least while listening from your phone

By (ab)using the broadcast function, the blacklist will work for all platforms.

This is a much needed feature. I've got some artists where I do not care for their early works and some rap artists that pop up when using the radio feature, that I would rather avoid due to strong sexist language.

We NEED this feature, since artists get paid by plays and I absolutely do not want to give any support, especially financially, to known abusers/rapists, but it's virtually impossible to try to discover new music on this platform without having their music shoved down my throat.

It's really annoying when you hear a song that you do not want to listen/hear. I do not know, you may be paid to switch to that song more frequently. But this is a good requirement from the users.

I will settle for DJ Khaled being banned from the platform if implementing custom blocking is too complex of a feature request. lol

I'd want to block an artist from radio and skip their songs in playlists.
