[Partnerships] Apple TV Support

I think there should be a Spotify feature for the Apple TV, similar to the Netflix App which is available. As currently, the only way Spotify can be played on the Apple TV is through AirPlay which requires an iPod Touch/iPhone.

Updated on 2019-10-07

Hey,

With our new Spotify app for Apple TV, you can now access Spotify’s 50 million tracks directly from your TV, making Spotify the natural audio destination across your many devices.

This long-requested feature follows our other apps on TV platforms including Android TV, Samsung Tizen, Amazon Fire TV and Roku.

We’re excited to bring this app to Apple TV and will continue to innovate and enhance the app—there’s plenty more in the works.

I have read most of the comments concerning Spotify on Apple TV. I have not tried Airfoil and really don't want to tie up my computer and TV all at the sametime. I do have an iPad using Airplay and i have run into the same problems others have of the music stopping and starting and is very annoying. I think you have the best thing going Spotify and other services like Pandora have nothing on the personalization that you offer. Make an App for Apple TV happen, please.

Is it still too late to say that I would love to see a Spotify channel for the Apple TV as well? 😄

Just adding my +1 to this suggestion .... let's hope Spotify makes it to Apple TV soon.

Got six months Sptoify Premium included in my new phone contract, and I'm enjoying it, but having it directly on my Apple TV instead of having to Airplay it across would make subscribing after the six months is up a no-brainer.

Make it happen soon please!

So let me get this straight, I can use Airplay to channel Spotify to Apple TV from my iPhone or iPad mini, but there is no Spotify app in Apple TV itself? That's conveinient to whom?

I've been trying to find a method for playing Spotify thru my big speakers. PS4 doesn't have Spotify app, Apple TV doesn't have Spotify app, my Xbox 360 didn't have Spotify... How come any gadget I can hook up to my tv and stereos doesn't have a Spotify app? It's like there's a big conspiracy against this thing... I don't intend to switch to iTunes or Google Play or Music Unlimited so screw those guys! I LOVE SPOTIFY. You are my best friend, Spotify! I'll pay you more if it's about money! Just take my money and give me something I can plug into my stereos!

I just bought an apple TV. It works great for What I want to do. But I also miss the Spotify app on the TV. As most says, I must have my iPhone/Macbook air plugged to not run out of battery. I use spotify when I am at home about 6 hours/day! And I love the product. But if Wimp or other music suppliers (I don't like iTunes) comes with an apple TV app, I may be thinking of changing...

Why are you not releasing it?

Would like to reinforce the app for Apple TV idea. I'm currently working from home and have an Iphone, Macbook, Apple TV, and LG TV.  I was unable to download an app or play through the TV (lack of Flash capability) so that's out.  and Apple TV is directly connected to the TV (which houses my Audio). So that would be the next best bet.  I use my phone to make calls and such and don't want to tie it up on Airplay.  My laptop is okay, but it's not my workhorse laptop so I have to keep it open on the other side of the room so I don't take up space on my already crowded desk. So when it times out or goes into sleep mode or I want to change the station it's a hassle. Same if I'm entertaining company, much easier to have it playing from the small Apple TV unit.

An Apple TV app would be awesome!
