[Playstation][Podcasts] Video playback on the PS5

Could Spotify solve the problem of no video display for JRE on PS?? Many people use PS as their only in-house media player. This is for Netflix, YT and Spotify. Considering JRE's migration to Spotify next week, it will be crucial to all these users to be able to display the video content of the podcast on PlayStation as well..

Obviously this was a complete load of sh*t.

Here I am, August 2022, using a PS5... CANT VIEW THE FU**ING VIDEOS FOR THINGS LIKE JRE... WHATS THE GOD DAMN POINT OF HAVING SPOTIFY AT ALL ON THE PS5... WHAT THE FU** DO YOU THINK PEOPLE DO WITH A PLAYSTATION OR XBOX ON A TV... just listen to music??..... What a waste of a PS5 & TV.. no one uses overpriced hardware to listen to Spotify you useless f***ing **bleep** at Spotify.

I deleted the app, cancelled my subscription.

You really are useless **bleep**. I mean that in the literal sense.  Go Fu** yourselves.

People aren't going to migrate towards Spotify, they are going to migrate away, because of your stupidity.

While I'm mentioning that, I noticed you don't let people post their own threads in the forum's anymore.... No options at all, nicely done.. definitely not a way to control what others can see or say..

I can't believe this is not a feature on Playstation. This is so frustrating and I end up watching JRE on youtube because spotify cannot provide me with a player on the playstation.

Over a year since Spotify acknowledged the change and promised the implementation and I am still waiting. What a joke it is.

I just redid my premium becouse i learned that joe rogan's podcast is in video, only to realize that its not suported on PS, then learn that it is on xbox, and that its been two years since a user sugested it and youre still considering it, instead of giving the "Its done thanks for pointing out our shortcomings" or "nah my dudes video on PS4 is not gunna hapen lol". Canceled premium within the hour. Thank you for caring for and respecting your customers.

Update for the folks that keep geting here by googleing their valid concerns, Microsoft is a shareholder in Spotify, pushing the shity PC app on new Windows but someone thinks that no answer for two years is better than turning down definitively users of the bigger market share console

Are there any new updates on this functionality being available for playstation users to be able to watch video podcasts through the spotify app? I’ve been following this waiting to hear updates.
