Please, base the recommendation on the music I listen!

I'm not interested at all in the general recommendations of mainstream artists you promote, please create recommendations on the user preferences: that will make more likely to discover new music we'll like and PURCHASE it!!

One of the most time consuming tasks is to find more of my favourite music (electronica), but  genre is mostly inaccurate, and sometimes I don't even know the genre. It might even be a track that's atypical of a genre as well.

The latest incarnation of the player (0.9.1.57.ge7405149) has given me more hits on recommendations ever, so something is definitely moving in the right direction. But I'm insatiable and want many more hits!!!

One of the criteria should be to include my most played tracks in the matching process.

I couldn't agree more, I have no idea why it gave me Sex noises as a suggestion. What the hell? I listen to dubstep and is says "here have porn!' Pretty annoyed.

I'm 19 years old. I live in Latin America. That doesn't mean I like the trashiest music there can possibly be! I hate partying Latin style. I hate Latin trashy music. I like jazz. I like seeing shiny trumpets and huge black and white cheeks (miles Davis style) in a 1950s album cover. I like jack Johnson, soft happy chill music, not butts and boobs and awful tattoos and hideous neck chains. By the way, I am paying for premium and I have never ever played anything like that. I also have been listening to the same music for over 6 months. I think it could be useful to set at least some basic preferences for this...

I can't believe that Spotify recommends me all music I don't like. It would be amazing if while I'm listening rock, indie, folk... there weren't advises of latino music. I've never heard it, and, Spotify, please, don't invent my music taste, it's horrible 😧

Recommendations for Spotify's Discover Weekly are in fact, already based on your listening preferences. It's based on what songs you listen to the most often and are recommended from similar users. Sometimes Discover Weekly may seem hit or miss, but I think from personal experience that 50% of the music they recommend is something I like and will save. Unfortunately, the algorithm they use to recommend music isn't great if you're looking to listen to unpopular or new artists. 

Outside of Spotify's Discover Weekly, you can also look at the tabs titled "Top Recommendations for You", "New Releases For You", or "Because you listened to ________". These should all be based on your individual taste profile.

You've never had a single recommendation on the start page that I would even consider listening to.  You go on and on about your recommendation engine, but I figure either:  it's completely broken, or it's all about payola.

My Spotify always shows Latino music recommendations just because my billing information and account are from Mexico. I want to be able to remove a certain genre of music recommendations at least, or change them to another country like Canda or UK. I hate most Mexican music and that's all I get on the browse tab of the app. It's too annoying!

I feel like Spotify does a great job of recommending artists that are similar to the ones I like, but there is one weird glitch. The very first artist they recommend after any playlist finishes playing is Grizfolk, who I don't like at all. I downvote it every time, I skip the track, etc. but Spotify keeps playing them over every other artist. Is there any way to stop this from happening? It's really annoying.
