[Podcasts] Mark all/multiple podcasts played

Add the ability to mark all prior podcasts played. Recently joined spotify and would like to consolidate my apps. If I subscribe to a podcast with hundreds of episodes I would like to be able to pick the last one I heard on my current player and mark it AND all prior played. Currently the only way to do this is by manually marking each episode.

Hi everyone,

Even though this idea was previously marked as "Not Right Now", we're happy to announce that your feedback has helped us improve the app and this suggestion has now been implemented for the mobile app.

If you want to see this feature implemented for the desktop app aswell, you can vote on this idea.

Thank you for participating in our ideas exchange here on the Community and playing a big role in making Spotify better for everyone!

It's obvious implementing podcasting features is not a priority for Spotify. I also just noticed in the latest update on their iOS app, it no longer mentions podcasts.

I am considering making the jump from my current podcast app to Spotify but one of the big things thats holding me back is that I would have to go though every episode of every podcast on my phone and mark it as played.  Please give an option to select multiple or all episodes and mark them as played.  The podcast app I currently use allows this as a "mark older than [x date] played" option which would be the ultimate option.

Wow. Major update to Desktop app appearance and interface. Layout is great! still no option to mark episodes played or unplayed. I can't believe such a simple feature, requested so much couldn't be slipped into this update. Lazy, lazy, lazy. O-M-G Lazy.

It's like they don't want us to listen to podcasts on their platform. I've never heard one person complain about the appearance of a podcast app. Usability? Most important feature.

Get your sh*t together Spotify.

The fact that this has not been implemented yet, and is marked as something Spotify doesn't care about is insane. This is BASIC UX for a podcast player.

This is the only reason I don't switch to spotify podcasts

I use Spotify for music as a premium subscriber. I figured I can switch to Spotify for podcasts so it’s all on one app. Just “followed” all the podcasts I listen to on another podcast app. Discovered I can’t mark previous episodes of a podcast as played. Some podcasts have literally hundreds of episodes. There should be a mark all as played or at least don’t display literally all older episodes of a recently followed podcast on the episodes tab. I’m no longer switching to Spotify for podcasts until this feature can be added. I shouldn’t have to mark every single episode as played.

Add the feature. It's the single reason I don't use spoify for podcasts

This is desperately needed. Can’t be having 400 episodes in ‘Your Episodes’ and having to click 4 times to remove ONE from my downloaded pods and the playlist itself.

I subscribe to the premium version of a podcast app, but even the free version has this feature.

I'd be more than happy to go premium on Spotify if I could consolidate my music and podcasts into one without marking thousands of episodes as played manually.

This is the only thing stopping me from switching to Spotify for my podcasts. There is no way i'm going to mark 1662 individual episodes of JRE as played one by one (as well as several other shows i listen to with +400 episodes).

This is one of the most basic tools all other podcast apps provide and it is really embarassing that Spotify does not have this yet.

I had 50 days total playtime last year on my Podcast addict app, that does not include all the video podcasts of JRE i have watched on youtube the same year. Add the video podcasts and you're probably looking at almost 60 days of playtime that Spotify could have been a part of instead.

Even though i have been a spotify premium member since 2010 (on 2 different accounts) i will still use other apps for podcasts as long as this option is missing on Spotify.
