[Samsung] Spotify for Samsung TV - Tizen OS

Would be really nice to have in this year the Spotify app available for the 2015 and 2016 models of Samsung Smart TV's running Tizen OS, at least some kind of beta or limited functionality one if not fully working. It's a shame that Spotify is still not available in the Samsung SmartHub after 2 years of the release of the new platform.

Do Spotfy reps ever comment on this board?  If so, has there been any official comment on why Spotify is not available on 2015 Samsung models?  If there are no plans to support this in the future, I'm likely to take my business elsewhere.  If it's just slow coming, I'm willing to wait it out, but only if there's a reasonable official estimate of when the product will be supported.  On the other hand, if this is Samsung's doing--that is, if they're now blocking competitors' apps from the marketplace--that may be the end of my loyalty to Samsung.

I like Spotify, but I've cancelled my Premium subscription until it comes out for Samsung Smart TV using Tizen. Maybe everybody should do it who has the same problem...

This really is getting beyond a joke that you can't get even a limited service going on Tizen when EVERY other service has had their apps on that platform since early summer.

My service will not be being renewed as of the 1st January.

Enough is enough - do Spotify think that they can do whatever they please without recourse to those paying for them to be in the position they are?

Oh - FYI.

Its not down to Samsung.

UK Samsung have confirmed they only host the apps on their server.

Its down to the providers to supply the apps they host.

Spotify obviously don't care.

And no - there are no official reps, employees or anyone else on here - so ultimately we're all just pissing into the wind....

I had a contact with tidal support and they told me that they're working in their tizen app. Maybe it's time to change streaming service?

If they come out with one and spotfy does not, I would definitely consider.  Tidal boasts 40 million songs, compared to only 30 million by Spotify.  If the selection is comparable for the music I listen to, I'm likely to switch, assuming Tidal actually gets a Tizen app running.
