[Social] One Phone Everyones Songs (Shared public Queue)

My idea came when I was sick of handing my friends my phone or the aux cable everytime they want to out on a song. Why have a DJ at your house party when you could have your phone hooked up and people around you could put in song request through their spotify on their phones. You could set it to a certain radius or just make a group. You could limit types of music or the amount of times a song or artist can play. That's my idea

@joelengelhardt  @ST_ROB  Same, good to see I wasn't the only one who thought of this! 😄

Brilliant mockups! Thanks for the effort!

You could just use a collaborative playlist and add everyone as collaborators, it's a little more work but worth it

If I had a dollar for every time someone suggested a collaborative
playlist... smh
CrimsonSage
Sorry about that. Fingers crossed that they add it though

The collaborative playlist would be very difficult on a larger scale. The shared queue or “party queue” would allow users to post a pin or code that would allow anyone to add songs to the queue, similar to the way a touch tunes jukebox works.

Too bad. Still no sign of this feature... I sure hope they'll add it soon.

Hey guys,

Any updates on this?

Spotify... you are a company with developers on staff. This can't be that hard. Just cause most people don't come to the ideas section of your site doesn't mean that it isn't a completely legitimate progression in the feature set of your application. JukeBox mode!
