Spotify Video on Apple TV

With Video coming to Spotify, it feels like a real missed opportunity that there is no video on the Spotify Apple TV app. I would love to be able to watch podcasts or shows on Spotify on my Apple TV. I assume this is already in the works, but if it's not it should be. If it is, when will we see it?

Spotify! wth!!! I’ve been trying to WATCH (not listen) the Jacques Vallee interview for several days. It’s not available on my AppleTV OR my Apple IPhone. I’m totally disappointed and disgusted with this very awkward and incompetent transition of video. Joe’s losing a lot of followers and Spotify is not gaining any customers. GET IT TOGETHER!

Insane to me that you can sign Rogan to a $100+ million contract and not have VIDEO PODCASTS ON Apple TV!!!!!! Many of his fans watch his podcasts on a regular TV, like every other podcast... I know I speak for millions of people when I say: PLEASE FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY. UNACCEPTABLE, SPOTIFY!!!

Streaming video to a television to watch a podcast is not a fringe idea.  Do you understand what a Smart TV is?  How about a a ROKU player?  YouTube is a staple on devices like that for a reason. It’s what people want. It’s why Google is worth billions. And yet ... now that you spent all your money to basically kidnap Joe Rogan, no one can watch him that way.  wth is the master plan here? Is it a conspiracy to silence him? Are you a Lex Luther owned company?  I seriously will never understand this.  You are basically cancelling your $100 million dollar #1 show.  Way to kill the golden goose.

How is this not a feature? The episodes are taken off YouTube for Spotify and the Apple TV app doesn’t show video? This should have been ready and integrated the DAY the podcast stopped being available on YouTube.

Spotify is not and will not take this issue seriously.

I suggest everyone use a third party program to download the full video podcast and by pass Spotify completely while playing it. This will also by pass all of their advertisers.

Also please let the JRE staff know directly of this problem by filling out this form on the JRE website.

UPDATE IPhone Viewing: Start the podcast and turn iPhone sideways for landscape video viewing. Still no video on AppleTV or Roku. Spotify has majorly let down Joe’s followers.

It is pretty absurd that the Apple TV app does not support video. The TV app does not have video. TV.

You guys absolutely dropped the ball on this it’s absurd. I ask everyone on this channel to send messages to Joe Rogan team like the above comment suggested because nobody at Spotify gives a rats ass about people threatening to leave the platform. Absolutely maddening.

How many votes you gotta have to get the JRE video on Apple TV? It won’t even let you airplay the video. Come on man 🤣
